About the Role
We are expanding our talent pipeline for highly skilled Backend Developers (Multi-Stack) to design, build, and optimize robust server-side architectures, microservices, and cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will take end-to-end technical ownership of complex API developments, database optimization, and AWS cloud deployments. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional teams to ship scalable, secure backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Stack Backend Engineering: Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance server-side applications using modern backend languages and frameworks (Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Java, or PHP).
- API & Microservices Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and event-driven microservices architectures.
- AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, manage, and scale backend services natively across the AWS ecosystem (AWS Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, API Gateway).
- Database Design & Optimization: Manage and optimize data layer architectures across relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).
- DevOps, CI/CD & Security: Implement containerization (Docker), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines while enforcing strict backend security, data protection, and PII compliance best practices.
- Technical Leadership (Senior Level): Drive system architecture decisions, enforce clean code standards, lead peer code reviews, and mentor engineers across the stack.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Experience: 4–8+ years of hands-on production experience in backend software engineering with multi-stack systems.
- Backend & Cloud Stack: Production-level mastery of at least one core backend language (Python, Node.js, Go, or Java), REST APIs, microservices, and hands-on AWS cloud integration.
- Engagement Setup: Full-time (40 hours/week) Independent Contractor commitment on a dedicated Night Shift schedule (requiring active US business hours overlap).
- Workspace Requirements: Quiet home office environment equipped with a functional desktop or laptop computer, reliable high-speed internet, and a working webcam (mobile devices are strictly prohibited).
Preferred & Negotiable Skills
- Advanced Cloud & IaC: Direct experience with Infrastructure as Code using HashiCorp Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Caching & Messaging: Familiarity with Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ, or Apache Kafka for asynchronous processing.
- DevOps Tooling: Hands-on experience configuring GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Docker Compose, or Kubernetes.
Recruitment Guidelines
- Anti-Fraud Policy: Use of AI-assisted response scripts during evaluations, proxy interviewers, or identity misrepresentation is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
- Data Privacy: All interview sessions are recorded and processed strictly for internal recruitment evaluation in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
