ClickHouse + Laravel Database Expert (Contract, potential full-time)

ClickGo is a multi-tenant affiliate marketing tracking platform for affiliate networks, product owners, agencies, and creators . Affiliate networks and partner marketing programs use it to manage their partners, track clicks and conversions, analyze reports, catch fraud and more.

ClickGo is growing extremely fast. ClickGo launched in March of 2026, beta in Jan 2026, and we are a small team of affiliate marketing industry veterans.

They can run their whole operation on ClickGo. ClickGo is built on AWS, Laravel and Postgres, and data is the heart of the product. Our customers live inside reporting all day, every day, and they feel every slow query.

We're considering moving our analytics and reporting workloads to ClickHouse, and I want it done by someone who is an expert in ClickHouse, has done this before, and has experience optimizing queries and Laravel. You'd work closely with me and our CTO, and the dev team to plan the migration, design the schemas, build the pipeline, optimize existing slow queries in the meantime and along the way, and get us cut over cleanly with zero downtime. Along the way, you'd be optimizing queries and tightening up the database side of the codebase wherever you see wins.

For a platform doing what we do, we should have the best database setup in the industry. And be faster than our competitors on reporting and analytics, which we can give insight into. Some of our compettiors include Everflow.io (Google Cloud based BigQuery) TUNE, CAKE, HasOffers, and TrackDesk.

Who I am

Quick background so you know who you'd be working with. I got into affiliate marketing at 12 years old and never left. I went on to build and run an affiliate network called Express Revenue and it got acquired in 2022. Instead of stepping away from the industry, I retained the rights to the tracking platform behind it, and built ClickGo.

What you'd be doing

- Leading the ClickHouse migration alongside our CTO: schema design, ingestion, backfill, cutover

- Making reporting fast. Our users run more than just daily reports, but monthly, yearly, and slice data across a lot of dimensions.

- Optimizing queries across the existing Laravel codebase for quick wins on existing infra. And jumping in on any existing db or slow query issues that arrive that hinders our clients.

- Helping us land on the right long-term patterns for multi-tenant data at scale.

Who I'm looking for

- You've run ClickHouse in production at real volume, ideally with click, event, or log-style data, and you can talk about what went wrong, not just what went right

- Strong Laravel, AWS, and MySQL-side experience. You're comfortable in an extremely complicated and large codebase.

- Multi-tenant experience is a big plus

- You communicate well and like working directly with a small team. This is not a traditional large company, bureaucratic or must have a ticket setup. You'll be talking with our CTO and myself constantly

Pay: $50.00 - $120.00 per hour
