About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with three to five years of hands-on Australian public-practice tax and accounting experience to support an established Australian accounting firm. The role suits an accountant who can complete work accurately, manage multiple client files, and resolve routine accounting and tax matters with limited supervision, progressively taking on more complex assignments as a trusted extension of the Australian team.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Philippine CPA qualification advantageous but not mandatory with strong Australian public-practice experience.
Australian CA or CPA studies, or relevant Australian taxation training, highly regarded.
At least three years of recent Australian public-practice accounting experience.
Experience supporting an Australian accounting firm or an offshore team dedicated to Australian public practice.
Demonstrated experience preparing Australian financial statements and income tax returns across multiple entity types.
Experience completing work through to review stage, rather than data-entry or bookkeeping only.
Strong practical knowledge of Australian income tax compliance, GST, BAS/IAS, tax reconciliations, year-end accounting, and public-practice working papers.
Strong experience in one or more of: Xero, Xero Tax, Xero Practice Manager, MYOB AccountRight, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
Strong written and spoken English.
Ability to attend the office three days per week and work Australian business hours.
High attention to detail, strong personal accountability, and ability to work independently.
Comfortable receiving and responding to technical review; proactive in raising questions.
Able to manage competing deadlines and maintain organised, disciplined working papers.
Interested in building a stable, long-term career in Australian accounting.
Must complete a technical interview or practical assessment.
Prepare annual financial statements for Australian clients.
Prepare Australian income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
Prepare BAS and IAS; complete GST reconciliations.
Prepare tax reconciliations from accounting profit to taxable income.
Complete bank, loan, payroll, GST, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
Prepare clear and complete working-paper files.
Process year-end accounting adjustments.
Review general ledgers and identify missing, unusual, or incorrectly coded transactions.
Prepare depreciation schedules and fixed-asset reconciliations.
Assist with trust-distribution calculations and documentation.
Identify routine Division 7A, CGT, and tax-compliance issues for review.
Manage assigned jobs through the relevant practice-management system.
Respond to review points accurately and promptly.
Liaise with Australian accountants, managers, and reviewers.
Maintain accurate job notes, supporting documentation, and workflow updates.
Manage multiple client jobs and Australian lodgement deadlines.
Escalate complex or uncertain tax matters to the appropriate reviewer.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all client information-security requirements.
